Aquest Treball de Final de Grau (TFG) té com a objectiu principal la creació d'un procediment de simulacions tèrmiques mitjançant dinàmica de fluids computacional (CFD) per a l'anàlisi dels sistemes de refrigeració dels motors elèctrics dels prototips CAT14x i la seva evolució, CAT15x, de l'equip de BCN eMotorsport. BCN eMotorsport és un equip universitari que participa en la competició internacional Formula Student, on anualment dissenyen i construeixen un monoplaça elèctric. Durant les competicions, el CAT14x va presentar problemes en el sistema de refrigeració dels motors, per això un dels objectius principals de l'equip va ser el redissenyo de les camises de refrigeració per al CAT15x. Utilitzant OpenFOAM com a eina de simulació, s'aprofundeix tant en la generació de la malla, un dels punts crítics en una simulació CFD, com en la modelització de la mecànica de fluids. Això permet obtenir paràmetres d'interès com la temperatura final del fluid, la temperatura mitjana de l'estator, el coeficient de convecció i les pèrdues de càrrega, facilitant la comparació del rendiment de diferents dissenys. Els resultats mostren que el nou disseny millora les pèrdues de càrrega en un 20 % però el coeficient de convecció es redueix en un 10 %. Un altre avantatge del disseny nou és la seva permeabilitat, obtinguda gràcies als avanços en sistemes de fabricació. A més es realitza una anàlisi 1D que permet estimar l'ordre de magnitud dels paràmetres d'estudi. Amb aquest nou procediment de CFD, no sols es permet analitzar dissenys antics sinó que es podrà dissenyar i optimitzar nous sistemes de refrigeració sense la necessitat de fabricar un prototip, garantint que la peça final sigui òptima.

The objective of this work is to conduct a study of a hydrogen production plant, which uses the surplus of the electricity generated from the solar photovoltaic installation as a source to produce hydrogen, once the base demand to the industrial sector has been covered. Additionally, as secondary objectives, the available electrolysers on the market will be studied to determine which one might be the most appropriate for the studied case, the regulations related to hydrogen technologies and the potential impact of the plant deployment will be analyzed, and a Matlab code that simulates the hydrogen production plant will be developed and validated. Firstly, the considered area is studied to understand the terrain conditions and the feasibility of deploying the plant without causing any negative impact, as well as analyzing the current regulations that promote these technologies. It is successfully confirmed through the review of municipal regulations and Natura 2000 Plan that the chosen area, Puertollano, is suitable for carrying out the activity, and also from the Royal Decrees and European Directives, action plans and subsidies in favor of the use and development of these technologies are confirmed. Next, the corresponding calculations for the hourly production of photovoltaic energy as well as the hydrogen produced is done, being the basis to analyze the payback period, the general profits and the hydrogen production frequency. From these calculations, a complete reduction of electric consumption is obtained for the alternative considering 100% of the demand covered, that is, 2500 MWh, only requiring the action of the grid at those times when the renewable resource isn't available, resulting in savings of €45.616, Similarly, the highest hydrogen production is achieved, specifically 9 tanks of 2.8 tons, translated into profits of €128.973,6; however, covering a higher demand and producing more hydrogen also involves larger disbursements, €574.692,00, despite they are recovered in 5 years. As mentioned, a plant model has been built using Matlab, since it allows combining different technologies in a modular way, providing flexibility for future studies. This model has been built, compared and validated with the results from the Spreadsheets, meeting the established objectives. Finally, through the different chapters in the study, the potential of Spain to exploit a renewable resource such as solar energy is highlighted, which empowers the energy transition and decarbonization. Furthermore, it also helps to create new job positions to be filled and a flow of money that leads to strenghtening the economy, which is considered as a succes in the study.

La idea d'aquest treball de final de grau sorgeix a partir de la implantació, pels TFE (Treballs de Final d'Estudis) del GETI (Grau d'Enginyeria en Tecnologies Industrials) , GETIAE (Grau d'Enginyeria en Tecnologies Industrials i Anàlisi Econòmic) i MUEI (Màster Universitari d'Enginyeria Industrial) entregats a l'any natural 2023, de l'obligatorietat d'incloure un estudi de l'impacte social i de gènere que aquest genera. Aquesta mesura, pot generar acceptació o rebuig per part tant de l'estudiantat com del professorat; per tant, en aquest treball s'analitza la benvinguda que ha tingut per part d'aquests dos grups i la qualitat en la realització dels apartats als TFE entregats. Per analitzar l'impacte sobre professorat i estudiantat, s'han construït dues enquestes, una per cada grup, i s'han analitzat posteriorment les respostes obtingudes per part d'aquests. La participació ha sigut del 13,2 % del total de 394 docents [1] en l'enquesta al professorat (70 % homes i 30 % dones) i d'un 5% dels TFE entregats a l'any 2023 en el cas de l'estudiantat (31 respostes, 23% dones i 77 % homes). Generalment, el professorat valora positivament la introducció del nou apartat, però amb un gran percentatge d'incertesa o inseguretat en vàries de les preguntes plantejades. Aquest fet és normal degut a que és una mesura implantada fa poc, i qualsevol canvi genera indecisió en els seus inicis. Consideren que s'ajusta al contingut d'un TFE i que millora la consciència social i de gènere tant de l'estudiantat com del propi professorat. Opinen també que són necessàries formacions al llarg dels estudis per poder abordar aquests temes i requereixen més exemples a la plantilla per poder dur a terme correctament l'estudi. Per part de l'estudiantat en canvi, no s'ha obtingut un feedback tan positiu. En general, es considera que no és un apartat útil, que no ha de ser obligatori i que no beneficia la qualitat dels TFE ni la consciència social i de gènere de l'estudiantat i el professorat. Pel que fa a la qualitat de l'apartat en els diferents TFE, s'ha pres una mostra de 200 TFE sobre una base de dades de 574 disponibles i s'han analitzat diferents indicadors considerats per l'autor per realitzar posteriorment un anàlisi sobre les dades obtingudes i extreure conclusions. En la confecció dels estudis s'ha vist que la majoria de treballs ocupen una pàgina, mitja pàgina o menys de mitja pàgina; que algunes de les mesures de la plantilla són utilitzades per a prop d'un 20 i fins i tot un 30 % de l'estudiantat, i que hi ha diferència en la qualitat dels apartats, en general, entre els treballs fets per dones i els treballs fets per homes; presentant les primeres estudis més elaborats segons els criteris que s'han considerat. Pàg. 4 Memòria Es creu evident doncs, vistos els resultats de les enquestes i de l'anàlisi de la mostra de TFE, la necessitat d'incloure la perspectiva de gènere al llarg dels estudis per prendre consciència de que l'enginyeria també està relacionada amb persones, per eliminar estereotips clàssics de gènere i micromasclismes a les aules i en l'àmbit de l'enginyeria, i per poder realitzar estudis socials i de gènere de qualitat en els TFE. Aquest fet és suportat per les conclusions del treball on es veu que encara s'ha de fer més difusió de la plantilla, millorar la preparació de l'estudiantat per tractar aquests temes i dur a terme formacions al llarg dels estudis per tal de donar-li la importància que es mereix a l'estudi de l'impacte social i de gènere dels treballs i que, en un futur pròxim, no hi hagi diferència en la qualitat dels apartats presentats per una dona i els presentats per un home.

El projecte descriu el desenvolupament d'una pràctica de laboratori per a la producció d'hidrogen mitjançant electròlisi, en concret l'electròlisi de Membrana d'Intercanvi Protònic (PEM). Està dissenyada per a la matèria “Tecnologies i Sistemes d'Hidrogen” del Màster en Enginyeria Industrial a l'Escola Tècnica Superior d'Enginyeria Industrial de Barcelona (ETSEIB) que s'iniciarà el segon quadrimestre del curs 2024/25. Aquesta iniciativa segueix els treballs previs de Jorge Moreno [1] i Wilhelm Buchholz [2], que van estudiar el comportament dels electrolitzadors PEM en el seu treball. L'objectiu principal del projecte és proporcionar una pràctica educativa que permeti als estudiants observar i estudiar l'eficiència de l'electròlisi de PEM, creant corbes de polarització, mesurant la producció d'hidrogen i analitzant els resultats. I consecutivament, analitzar el comportament a una temperatura més alta gràcies a l'ús d'un bany termostàtic. Pel projecte s'utilitza un nou model d'electròlisi més gran i adequat per a aplicacions pràctiques, aprofitant components dels treballs anteriors com el circuit elèctric i el sistema d'adquisició de dades de tensió i corrent. No obstant això, s'han hagut de fer millores en altres àrees degut a la diferència de dimensions entre els dos models, com ara un nou intercanviador de calor, sensors de temperatura i l'aïllament de l'aparell. Un gran repte ha sigut aconseguir incrementar la temperatura de l'electrolitzador, per poder analitzar l'impacte que hi té. Tot i posar aïllament, el fet que l'aigua només circuli per convecció natural, fa que sigui difícil propagar-se la calor. S'estudien alguns mètodes per poder incrementar la temperatura i, posteriorment, comparar el comportament de l'electrolitzador a una temperatura més alta, tant en les corbes de polarització com en les eficiències. Pel disseny de la pràctica, s'han realitzat nombrosos experiments per assegurar resultats significatius i fiables, així com per determinar el temps i recursos necessaris. En aquest projecte es fa una proposta tenint en compte els resultats obtinguts, i inclou l'elaboració d'una guia amb la informació necessària per a què l'estudiantat pugui desenvolupar la pràctica, i un informe on apuntar els resultats i respondre diverses preguntes. Els resultats de la pràctica permeten a l'estudiantat comprendre la importància de les energies renovables i la seva contribució a la descarbonització. Aquesta formació de qualitat és essencial per formar futurs professionals en el sector de les energies renovables, amb un impacte significatiu en la sostenibilitat ambiental.

En els últims anys, la necessitat de produir energia sense contaminar el medi ambient s'ha convertit en una de les principals preocupacions i també en una gran necessitat. El canvi climàtic no s'atura i per a mitigar els seus efectes i aconseguir revertir-los s'han d'estudiar tots els mètodes possibles per a aconseguir energia verda. L'objectiu principal d'aquest treball és continuar el projecte de monitorització d'una electròlisi per l'obtenció d'hidrogen, muntant l'experiment en un nou electrolitzador de Membrana d'Intercanvi de Protons (PEM) que és un dispositiu que utilitza una diferència de potencial i una membrana d'intercanvi de protons per a la descomposició de l'aigua en oxigen i hidrogen. Es vol estudiar com varia la temperatura de l'electrolitzador en fer-lo funcionar intermitentment en diferents punts de treball. A més a més, s'adaptarà el model de simulació tèrmic i electroquímic que existeix a les noves condicions del nou electrolitzador. Per a la realització de les mesures en la part experimental del treball, s'ha utilitzat un chip INA219 amb un Arduino Uno per a les lectures de voltatge i intensitat que arriben a l'electrolitzador. Per a les mesures de temperatura, s'han utilitzat 10 termoparells de tipus T i 2 de tipus K situats en punts estratègics de l'electrolitzador connectats a un Data Logger que recull les dades i les presenta en format Excel. Bona part del treball s'ha dedicat al funcionament i millora de l'electrolitzador utilitzat, s'han canviat certes parts de l'original, principalment tubs, i s'ha aïllat totes les connexions i els dipòsits per a evitar les pèrdues de calor per convecció. També s'ha canviat el bescanviador de calor utilitzat per a realitzar les mesures a diferents temperatures. S'ha encarregat un bescanviador més eficient i sense problemes de corrosió. S'ha analitzat i revisat el model de simulació existent i se n'han corregit petits errors a més a més d'actualitzar-lo amb les dades del nou electrolitzador. S'han afegit comentaris i canviada l'estructura per a la més fàcil comprensió del codi. S'han trobat les corbes de polarització a diverses temperatures i s'ha analitzat l'evolució de la temperatura de diferents punts de l'electrolitzador reproduint l'experiment d'intermitències realitzat en el projecte anterior. Els resultats obtinguts han fet palesa la necessitat d'aïllar tèrmicament la cel·la electrolítica de l'entorn i han mostrat que el model de simulació tèrmic no representa adequadament el funcionament de l'electrolitzador, havent de rectificar la inèrcia tèrmica calculada.

This master's thesis investigates the socio-economic impacts of implementing a solar mini-grid in Mwansambe Village, Malawi, as part of the Master's program in Energy Engineering at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. The study utilizes a comparative case study methodology to address the critical energy access challenges in sub-Saharan Africa, where only 14.2% of Malawi's population has electricity. It examines solar PV projects in rural Morocco and Ivory Coast to derive insights into the potential benefits of rural electrification. Key findings from these case studies reveal significant socio-economic improvements, including enhanced agricultural productivity, business growth, job creation, and improved healthcare and education services. Projections for the Malawi mini-grid suggest similar benefits, such as increased agricultural output, expanded economic activities, job creation, better healthcare and educational outcomes, and a projected annual reduction of 37,932 kg in CO2 emissions. To ensure sustainability, the thesis recommends adopting community-based management structures, promoting productive uses of energy, providing gender-inclusive training programs, and implementing a prepayment system for electricity usage. These strategies, informed by successful Morocco and Ivory Coast practices, emphasize community engagement, capacity building, and financial viability. This study underscores the transformative potential of solar mini-grids in enhancing energy access and driving socio-economic development in rural Malawi, aligning with the goals of the Malawi National Energy Policy and Vision 2063 for sustainable and inclusive growth.

This master's thesis has been carried out in relation to the studies of the master's degree in industrial engineering. The project comes from an interest in understanding how electrolyzers work to produce hydrogen and to develop a model that analyzes, by means of computational fluid dynamics (CFD), the heat management of these devices. Therefore, it will first be necessary to study the physical and chemical fundamentals of elec- trolysis and and the different types of water electrolyzers for hydrogen production that exist nowadays. In addition, since the study focuses on the use of CFD for thermal analysis, it will be explained what the physical fundamentals of computational fluid dynamics are, and how the computer programs that allow these fundamentals to be applied work. In particular, the project focuses on a SOEC type electrolyzer. In order to model these devices, it has been necessary to understand which layers of materials make up these devices, as well as the function that each of them performs in the electrolysis of water. Some of the thermodynamic and electrical properties of the different layers have been obtained as a function of temperature. Subsequently, the different SOEC configurations that currently exist have been analysed, and the geometry to be modelled has been defined. The physical-theoretical equations that allow the behaviour of these devices to be simulated have also been analyzed. These equations have been explained in detail. They have then been simplified in order to be able to apply them to the model that has been necessary to carry out the simulation of this project and, in this way, to obtain a first approximation of the thermal analysis of this type of electrolyzers. In order to check whether the modelling idea proposed is correct, a base model has first been developed to verify the correct use of the tools provided by the OpenFOAM software. In this base model, three solid regions emulating the SOEC regions have been defined. The meshing and how the simulation has been prepared has been explained, and then temperature and volt- age results have been obtained. The same concepts applied in this base model were then used for the development of the SOEC model. In this model, five regions have been defined, with the corresponding transport equations: the two bipolar plates, the membrane-electrolyte assembly, the supplied water channels and the produced hydrogen channel. Finally, points for improvement of the model have been identified and future implementations have been proposed, which could lead to more accurate results showing the real thermal be- haviour of these devices.

In recent years, there has been a growing interest in hydrogen production, whether for energy use or for the synthesis of chemicals such as methanol. This has motivated new avenues of exploration for its production, with the aim of countering and reducing greenhouse gas emissions derived from the use of fossil fuels. The main objective of this study is to evaluate the performance parameters of an academic- scale Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) electrolyzer. This device employs a membrane that facilitates proton exchange and a solid polymer electrolyte for water decomposition, generating hydrogen and oxygen. Additionally, the project aims to investigate graphical methods for representing voltage and current flow behavior through overpotential equations. Furthermore, this project addresses the analysis of how transient states impact the operation of the electrolyzer, seeking to understand how such variations affect its performance. The most relevant data to consider for this research will be: the applied voltage and current, to generate polarization curves, temperature, and the produced hydrogen, to observe how these values influence the performance of the electrolyzer. In the experimental phase, the equipment used to control temperature consisted of 4 thermocouples for the walls of the methacrylate on both the front and back sides, and 4 Type T thermocouples to measure temperature at the inlet and outlets of the electrolyzer (this new acquisition serves to increase the resolution of measurements compared to the previous work) using a DataLogger. For hydrogen measurement, a study was conducted with an alternative method, but ultimately the predetermined container of the experiment was used. Finally, to record the current and voltage used, the same system as in the previous work was employed. It was found that the polarization curves vary when changing the voltage or current, being more or less equal to the theoretical ones. The expected results were not obtained in the polarization curves at different temperatures, due to problems in the flow of incoming water, which was not adequately heated. A new system for automating hydrogen production measurements has been tested. In the experimental part, the effects of a transient system on temperature have been observed. In this work, a simulation of the polarization curve has been developed, where it was also precisely observed how overpotentials and reversible voltage affect the curves, in addition to being able to compare them at different temperature intervals. A simulation of how temperatures evolve in a transient system and what effect they have was also developed. These simulations have been made possible through Python, using the formulas obtained during the work. Finally, the simulation and experimental parts have been compared to reach a better conclusion about the results.

The present project aims to understand the simulation of Proton Exchange Membranes (PEMs) in both fuel cells and electrolysis processes using Ansys Fluent software. To start, priority has been given to simulating PEM fuel cells due to the abundant available literature for reference. At this point, a hybrid model has been chosen, allowing for the simulation of both fuel cells and electrolytic processes. However, several challenges have been encountered, such as the lack of initialization in the simulation and the persistent occurrence of numerical singularities. This has led to the decision to focus the simulations on PEM fuel cells. Once useful simulations of PEMFC are obtained, a polarization curve is generated to verify the consistency of the results. Additionally, a study of the effect of voltage on membrane temperature is conducted, aiming to provide a basis for future studies aimed at improving efficiency and durability. Finally, a literature review of 60 articles related to computational fluid dynamics and electrolysis from the last five years is carried out. This analysis reveals that Ansys software is the most widely used, covering over 50% of the examined reports. Furthermore, a gender study is conducted with the searched articles, highlighting a minority of women in this field. Specific policies are proposed to promote the inclusion and participation of women in this area

The focus of this research will be the modelling of heat transfer with fluid-solid coupling for complex geometries in OpenFOAM. In the initial stage, selected aspects of the OpenFOAM toolkit will be introduced, including its fundamentals and usage. Afterwards, the available tools to model heat transfer in a solid wall in contact with a channel of a complex cross-section, through which the fluid flows will be explored. The outcome of this work will be an algorithm that could guide users in simulating a similar case

En els últims anys el creixent interès en l'ús d'hidrogen com a recurs energètic ha propiciat la cerca de noves formes per a la seva producció. Amb la finalitat de pal·liar i mitigar l'emissió de gasos d'efecte d'hivernacle per l'ús de combustibles fòssils, un dels mètodes de producció d'hidrogen és mitjançant electrolizadores PEM. Usant electricitat, podent provenir de fonts d'energia renovables, es pot dissociar aigua generant oxigen i hidrogen. No obstant això, aquest mètode de producció d'hidrogen encara no presenta uns costos competitius respecte a altres mètodes que si generen gasos d'efecte d'hivernacle com pot ser el reformat de gas natural. En l'àmbit de l'obertura d'una nova línia de recerca en els electrolizadores, aquest projecte senta les bases per a la recerca des d'un punt termodinàmic dels electrolizadores, que continuarà amb més treballs futurs. El electrolizador PEM utilitzat en aquest projecte correspon a un experiment de demostració acadèmica que disposa d'una única cel·la. Les primeres variables necessàries a monitorar corresponen amb el voltatge i el corrent aplicades al electrolizador, per a més tard monitorar la temperatura d'operació del electrolizador i la producció d'hidrogen. Durant la fase experimental realitzada en el laboratori s'ha utilitzat un microcontrolador arduino per a la presa de dades de manera digital ja que això permet tenir una taxa de mostreig elevada, a excepció de la producció d'hidrogen que s'ha realitzat de manera analògica. Finalment, el corrent i el voltatge han estat mesurats gràcies al mòdul INA219 i la temperatura mitjançant termoparells i mòduls MAX31855. Per a establir i mantenir constant la temperatura d'operació del electrolizador, s'ha realitzat un circuit hidràulic extern, fabricant un bescanviador de calor pel qual circula l'aigua amb impureses del bany tèrmic i que escalfa l'aigua destil·lada d'entrada al electrolizador. Un dels objectius a llarg termini de la línia de recerca oberta és el monitoratge termodinàmic de la reacció, tractant de mesurar els valors de temperatura dins del electrolizador i no sols en els tubs d'entrada o sortida. Això permetria estudiar la influència de la geometria dels canals d'aigua en l'operació del electrolizador. Com en el laboratori es disposa d'una cambra tèrmica i el electrolizador utilitzat disposa d'un carcassa de metacrilat, s'ha realitzat una prova però s'ha pogut comprovar que el metacrilat utilitzat pel fabricant no és transparent a la radiació infraroja que detecta la càmera, sent impossible mesurar de manera precisa l'evolució de la temperatura causada per la reacció electroquímica. Finalment s'han obtingut les corbes de polarització del electrolizador a diferents temperatures d'operació, podent comprovar que a major temperatura de l'aigua d'entrada, el voltatge aplicat al electrolizador a una mateixa densitat de corrent és superior. Sent aquesta diferència més notable quan la densitat de corrent és major. També s'ha trobat cor- relació entre el voltatge de polarització del electrolizador durant la seva arrencada en funció de la velocitat amb què s'aplica el corrent, i que una vegada s'apaga el electrolizador, aquest roman polaritzat durant unes 7 hores. No obstant això, el mètode de monitoratge d'hidrogen utilitzat no ha estat el correcte ja que l'eficiència de Faraday obtinguda no té un resultat lògic

The purpose of this project is to develop a teaching practice for the subject of “Termotècnia” in the 7th semester of the Degree in Industrial Technologies Engineering (GETI) at the “Escola Tència Superior d'Enginyeria Industrial de Barcelona” (ETSEIB). The project is a continuation of a previous project in which a mobile cart was designed and assembled with a type K thermocouple and a heat flux sensor to analyze the quality of a building envelope, although certain limitations were encountered. This project reorients the proposed practice, adapting it to all the limitations found, and presents a new approach to the teaching practice. Additionally, the protocol to be followed during the teaching practice is defined by preparing a guide and a report for students to complete during the practice. Students will need to measure all the heat fluxes that pass through the room of study, interpret the occurring phenomena, and apply the energy balance equation. They will also have to determine the minimum thermal resistance required for one of the enclosures to comply with the Building Technical Code (CTE) and then make assumptions about the materials for the studied enclosure and verify if they meet the minimum requirements. Subsequently, they will attempt to find it experimentally. Measurements will be taken using an ESP32 board and the Arduino IDE software on a laptop. The experiment will be carried out in groups of three to four students in a room of the ETSEIB. In parallel with the development of the teaching practice, this project also focuses on conducting various tests to understand the operation of the HFP01 heat flux sensor. During the execution of these tests, different phenomena occurring in the ETSEIB building are analyzed

Evaluating the power (ɸ [W]) losses or gains of a building or room is important to determine the need for possible reforms for the insulation of these; since the greater these losses or heat gains are, the more air conditioning devices will be needed, which may involve more economic costs and a greater energy impact. This project is based on the creation of a teaching practice for Thermotechnics studens,a subject which belongs to Q7 of the Degree in Engineering in Industrial Technologies; where students can learn the main thermal concepts related to the building and to quantify this energy exchange with the outside in a ETSEIB room. When all the theoretical fundamentals involved in these energy losses or gains have been understood, the design of a device with temperature and heat flux (q [W/m2]) sensors has been devised to study the room surfaces where there is this energy exchange with the outside, always considering the use of the heat flux sensor HFP01. Once the material and the elements involved in the initial design were acquired, tests and comparative studies have been carried out between several options of temperature sensors, microcontrollers to read the sensor measurements and different ways to read the measurements provided by the heat flow sensor; arriving at the experimental assembly of the measuring devices, considering aspects such as ease of handling and protection of the most sensitive components. With the assembly done and after the last verifications of its correct operation, the corresponding measurements have been taken in the Thermotechnics Teaching Laboratory. After several calculations and the analysis of these measurements, the practice design and operation for the students and the evaluation guidelines for the teaching staff have been prepared. This project can serve as a basis for developing a script for the students who will perform the practice and to perform simulation tests of the practice; in order to correct possible operating errors and to be able to implement this teaching practice in the subject of Thermotechnics

Aquest treball s'ha realitzar per tal d'aprendre, transferir els coneixements obtinguts a la gent interessada en l'electròlisi i col·laborar amb el departament de Màquines i Motors Tèrmics. Aquest projecte s'emmarca en una incipient línia de recerca relacionada amb el desenvolupament de software per modelar tèrmicament els electrolitzadors. Aquest projecte s'ha realitzat per tal de tenir un primer contacte amb l'electròlisi, més concretament amb l'electròlisi alcalina i amb els models matemàtics bàsics per descriure la part electroquímica d'aquest procés. Aquests models matemàtics han estat estudiats i utilitzats amb el programari MATLAB, i s'ha realitzat un simulador per simular numèricament aquesta part del procés. També s'ha realitzat i explicat un primer contacte amb el procés real de l'electròlisi alcalina i l'experimentació necessària per treballar amb aquests models matemàtics i simulador de MATLAB. S'han comprovat finalment possibles problemes i millores que s'hagin trobat durant el projecte per tal de proporcionar una base i un pas següent per a la continuació de l'estudi de l'electròlisi
