Abstract

Endometrial cancer is the fourth most common cancer in women and the fifth most common cancer overall in the European Union (EU). The role of chronic inflammation on endometrial cancer risk remains unclear beyond as an underlying mechanism of obesity and physical activity. Although it is known that chronic inflammation plays an important role in carcinogenesis, diet may be crucial in regulating this chronic inflammation. The objective of this project is to assess the associaiton between the inflammatory potential of the diet and the risk of endometrial cancer (overall, according to menopausal status and BMI categories) and the endometrial cancer survival.
