Aquest treball de final de grau analitza en profunditat el comportament de l'estanquitat en les juntes entre dovelles prefabricades en túnels construïts mitjançant tuneladora (Tunnel Boring Machine - TBM). Davant la problemàtica persistent de filtracions d'aigua en túnels, tot i els avenços tecnològics en disseny i materials, es planteja un estudi tècnic per identificar els punts crítics que comprometen la impermeabilització. S'estudien tant els factors de disseny (com el GAP, l'OFFSET, la disposició d'anells i la tipologia de juntes), com els condicionants de la fase constructiva (interacció mecànica entre dovelles, compressions insuficients, errors de col·locació) i les afectacions durant la fase de servei (envelliment del material, consolidació del terreny, fluència del formigó). Especial atenció es presta al comportament del cautxú EPDM com a material de junta i als processos de fabricació, extrusió i vulcanització d'aquestes peces. S'ha considerat incorporar el punt de vista d'un grup de professionals del sector que, des dels seus diferents àmbits de treball, han pogut aportar una valuosíssima aportació de realitat per a poder comparar amb l'estudi teòric que s'ha realitzat dins de la problemàtica. Aquesta aportació ha sigut mitjançant una enquesta preparada per a poder afrontar els reptes que presenta aquest treball, on hem profunditzat sobre la concepció del treball realitzat en problemàtiques reals respecte a l'estanqueïtat. A partir de l'anàlisi, es proposa una classificació dels punts de fallada més rellevants, valorant-ne la incidència segons la fase de vida del projecte. Això permet establir una base metodològica per a la millora de la impermeabilització en túnels, amb especial èmfasi en la selecció de materials, el control de qualitat de les juntes i la precisió en el muntatge. Aquest estudi pretén contribuir a l'optimització de les tècniques actuals d'estanquitat en túnels amb dovelles prefabricades, posant de manifest la necessitat d'abordar el problema des d'un enfocament multidisciplinari que combini enginyeria de materials, processos constructius i criteris de manteniment.

This final project, titled “Construcció d'una nau industrial al carrer Occitània d Badalona”, focuses on the design and structural calculation of an industrial warehouse dedicated to storage of solar panels. This initiative responds to the growing demand for secure facilities designated for the storage and Distribution of materials related to renewable energy, in a context of increasing environmental awareness and the urgent need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere. This warehouse has been designed on the outskirts of Badalona, in an industrial area strategically located next to the C-31 highway with quick access to the port of Barcelona, facilitating logistics and the Distribution of solar panels. The main structure is based on a reinforced concrete System, with a Foundation composed of perimeter diaphragm walls and an 80 cm-thick foundation slab, which will work together with the solid slab floors of the upper levels. The solid slab floor System was selected for its structural efficiency, durability, and fire resistance, among other aspects, following a multi-criteria alternatives study. The building includes two distinct zones: one dedicated to the warehouse, offering sufficient space for the Organization and handling of the panels using forklifts, and other designated for offices and parking. In conclusion, this project combines economic feasibility, functionality, and environmental commitment to contribute to the energy transition.

This final year project analyses the rehabilitation of Mas del Tàpies, a farmhouse in Camp de Tarragona built at the beginning of the 19th century, into a horticultural estate. The objective is to evaluate the current state of the building and propose a rehabilitation plan that preserves its historical value, functionality and sustainability. The methodology includes typological and historical study, analysis of the environment, drawing up plans and a detailed technical diagnosis. This diagnosis reveals cracks, deformations, damp problems and inadequate roof conditions, as well as deterioration in non-structural elements. The refurbishment proposal includes reinforcing the foundations, walls and floor slabs, renovating the roof with thermal insulation and waterproofing, and restoring windows, doors and flooring with original materials. The electrical and water installations are also being modernised, incorporating solar panels.

Las inundaciones son uno de los desastres naturales cuyo impacto se traduce en pérdidas económicas, materiales y humanas. Además, debido al cambio climático, este fenómeno resulta cada vez más frecuente e intenso. Con la aplicación de la Directiva 2007/60/CE sobre inundaciones, los Estados miembros deben establecer medidas de contingencia frente a las inundaciones mediante la creación de planes de gestión de riesgos de inundación, a partir de la delimitación de las zonas de riesgo y mediante la elaboración de mapas de peligro y de riesgo de inundación. Este trabajo, que se enmarca en el Proyecto ICARIA, tiene como objetivo lograr una mayor comprensión del fenómeno de las inundaciones para procurar, en un futuro, la implementación de medidas de prevención y protección frente a las inundaciones. Para alcanzar este objetivo, se propone un método que permita clasificar las inundaciones en tres grandes grupos en función de su origen (costeras, pluviales, fluviales), y se aplica en un área concreta, el Área Metropolitana de Barcelona, cuyas características (situación geográfica, orografía, etc.) la convierten en una zona susceptible a estos tipos de inundaciones. Tras la aplicación del método propuesto, las inundaciones pluviales han demostrado ser las más frecuentes y que más pérdidas económicas generan en el Área Metropolitana de Barcelona. Por su parte, las inundaciones costeras, si bien son poco frecuentes, suponen un gran coste en indemnizaciones. Finalmente, se destaca la necesidad de tener más en cuenta las inundaciones pluviales en los planes de gestión, ampliando el enfoque actual centrado en las inundaciones fluviales y costeras.

A series of bituminous mixtures was produced with the objective of evaluating the feasibility of incorporating a product mainly composed of plastic waste. For this purpose, a laboratory study was conducted, divided into three stages, during which five series of mixtures were produced: one control series and four series with different percentages of plastic waste. It was concluded that plastic waste could be included in the mixtures, provided that suitable proportions are used to ensure a balance between sustainability and structural performance.

This project aims to design and build a pedestrian walkway located in the municipality of Térmens (Lérida). The main purpose of this construction is to provide the town's inhabitants with an alternative and safe route to the level crossing located on Station Street. This project encompasses the planning, design, structural calculation and budget estimate of the civil works of the pedestrian walkway. The construction of this walkway will mean a better connection between the different areas of the municipality and is expected to have a positive impact on the lives of its inhabitants.

The present thesis is an ex-post analysis of the C-16 section between Barcelona and Sant Cugat (Vallvidrera tunnels), using data from 2020, which means that the section had been in operation for 28 years. The idea has been to propose a comparison between the results of this period, applying current criteria and factors, and to achieve an IRR (Internal Rate of Return) and NPV (Net Present Value) in order to compare the results with those obtained by Dr. Pere Riera at the time (Riera, 1997), when the section under study had only been in operation for a few years. Analyzing this data and being able to compare it with the results obtained in the reference study has served to determine whether the infrastructure has maintained its social performance over the years. Obtaining the necessary data has involved research at various public institutions, as well as consulting different legal documents, actions that have allowed for the appropriate technical reasoning to justify the calculations applied. It should not be forgotten that the thesis is based on an ABC (Activity-Based Costing), therefore, the criteria have been reasoned, contextualized, and measured by applying a criterion centered on the working framework. Quantifying how an infrastructure affects the human environment and putting a price on the value it brings to its surroundings is to delve into a very changing terrain, where it is evident how volatile concepts can be and how interpretable reality is. Therefore, seeking objective evaluation criteria is a guarantee of transparency and fairness. Throughout the text, every effort will be made to allow understanding of the procedures used, and the methodology applied can be assessed from the same source of origin, as well as allowing the reader to have traceability at all times of the work actions that have been carried out.

El trabajo presentado es un Trabajo Final de Grado (TFG) titulado Evaluación de la estabilidad de estructuras de protección en paseos marítimos bajo diferentes escenarios de erosión. Este estudio se centra en el análisis y evaluación de la estabilidad de los muros de contención del Paseo Marítimo de La Mar Bella en Barcelona, considerando diversos escenarios de erosión y carga variable de agua.

El proyecto tiene como objetivo la construcción de una nueva estación en la red del Llobregat de los Ferrocarriles de la Generalidad de Cataluña. El trazado discurriría desde la estación de enlace de Martorell hasta la nueva estación de Can Amat, pasando por los accesos EST 1 y EST 2 de la planta SEAT.

El fòsfor és un element essencial per a la vida, necessari per a plantes, animals i humans, i fonamental per a la producció d'aliments. Malgrat la seva importància, hi ha poca investigació sobre l'impacte de l'escassetat de fòsfor en la demanda futura d'aliments. Actualment, el fòsfor utilitzat en fertilitzants s'extreu principalment de la roca fosfàtica, un recurs limitat format per sedimentació. A més, l'excés de fòsfor en els lixiviants agrícoles causa eutrofització, afectant negativament els ecosistemes aquàtics. Les escòries metal·lúrgiques, subproductes de la indústria metal·lúrgica, poden ser útils per captar fòsfor dels lixiviants agrícoles. Aquest estudi investiga la viabilitat i eficàcia d'aquestes escòries com a materials absorbents de fòsfor. A través d'experiments de laboratori i anàlisis químics, s'estudia la capacitat de les escòries per retenir fòsfor i els mecanismes implicats. També es considera l'impacte ambiental d'aquestes escòries en l'agricultura. L'objectiu és aportar nous coneixements per a pràctiques agrícoles sostenibles i una gestió eficient dels residus industrials, contribuint a la millora de la qualitat de l'aigua i la mitigació de la contaminació per nutrients. Per poder portar a terme l'objectiu principal, en primer lloc s'han de realitzar anàlisis físics, químics i mineralògics de les escòries metal·lúrgiques per identificar les seves propietats. I després per tal de poder determinar la capacitat d'adsorció de fòsfor de les escòries es porten a terme experiments de laboratori. Finalment, s'avalua l'efecte de variables com el pH, el temps de contacte i la granulometria de les escòries sobre la capacitat d'adsorció de fòsfor i s'identifiquen les condicions òptimes per a la captació de fòsfor dels lixiviats agrícoles. També s'ha d'analitzar la velocitat d'adsorció de fòsfor en funció del temps, avaluar l'impacte mediambiental de l'ús d'escòries metal·lúrgiques per a la captació de fòsfor, incloent la disposició final de les escòries sa

Graffiti vandalism on historical heritage sites, especially within our field of civil works such as bridges, buildings, and monuments, represents a form of vandalism that can cause irreparable damage to valuable surfaces, compromising their preservation for future generations. This cultural legacy must remain intact, as graffiti significantly alters the aesthetics and historical value of these structures. The restoration and cleaning of graffiti are costly and require specialized techniques. Furthermore, the presence of graffiti can deter cultural tourism and negatively impact the local economy. Protecting historical heritage and civil works is essential for cultural identity and social cohesion. Preserving historical heritage, including civil works, requires a joint effort from authorities, communities, and citizens. It is crucial to educate and raise awareness about their value to prevent acts of vandalism. Laws and regulations must be strictly enforced, and collaboration with urban artists to create legal spaces for graffiti can reduce the incidence of illegal graffiti. The use of environmentally friendly anti-graffiti coatings facilitates the protection and cleaning of surfaces without damaging them. In summary, protecting our civil works and historical heritage from graffiti is crucial to maintaining their historical, cultural, and educational value, ensuring their preservation for future generations.

Due to the congestion of vehicles in the center of the municipality of Torroella de Montgrí, it has been decided to create an alternative route, for vehicles that want to cross the municipality without stopping, so we can avoid congestion, improve road safety and reduce the pollution of vehicles in the center of the city.

L'objectiu d'aquest projecte és millorar el traçat i fer diverses actuacions puntuals per reduir l'accidentalitat i incrementar la fluïdesa del trànsit de la carretera T-203. Per això, s'ampliarà la secció transversal de la carretera, alhora que es milloraran els accessos a les urbanitzacions i es dotarà a la carretera de caràcter urbà més integrada amb l'entorn.

En la actualidad, la movilidad urbana se encuentra en constante evolución, influenciada por diversos factores que inciden directamente en la planificación y desarrollo de las infraestructuras viales. En este contexto, la liberación de los peajes de la C-32 ha desencadenado un cambio significativo en los patrones de tráfico en la comarca del Maresme brindando la ocasión de realizar una reforma integral de la carretera nacional N-II. El propósito no se limita exclusivamente en adaptarla a las nuevas demandas de movilidad, sino también transformarla de un simple eje viario a un espacio integrado en la trama urbana. El enfoque de este proyecto se orienta en la propuesta de soluciones innovadoras y sostenibles para la remodelación de la carretera de la N-II, especialmente en el tramo comprendido entre los enlaces con las carreteras BV-5033 y BV-5034 a su paso por los municipios de Sant Andreu de Llavaneres y Sant Vicenç de Montalt. Este tramo específico se convierte en el epicentro del presente proyecto, donde se buscará no solo mejorar la infraestructura vial, sino también establecer un modelo que fomente la sinergia entre la movilidad eficiente y el entorno circundante

In the present, we are facing a situation of drought generated by climate change that affects the water cycle and all its components. In this work, special mention is made of groundwater since it is those bodies of fresh water that provide us with quality water suitable for domestic consumption. Due to the deficiency of rainfall that we find currently, the water levels of these water systems have been harmed so a project has been developed in the area of Cambrils to mitigate the effects of the drop in the water table. Cambrils is a municipality that has an overexploited aquifer and in which it is affected by marine intrusion so we wanted to provide a solution at the local level in a sustainable and effective way, which is the managed aquifer recharge from infiltration ponds. The managed aquifer recharge has allowed in many countries to give a second life to those reclaimed waters, causing piezometric levels to rise and aquifers not being so affected by drought or climate change. The LIFE REMAR project (LIFE20 ENV / ES / 000284) has achieved that with the effluent of the WWTP of Cambrils, a part of the Baix Camp aquifer could be recharged in a totally natural way. In this work, the entire project of the infiltration ponds has been monitored and the modeling of the area before and after recharge has been carried out to see what the effects were of recharging the effluent in the aquifer. This initiative will provide experience for future similar projects that will be developed and has been a breakthrough in the research in the field of hydrogeology.

This work begins by studying the water balance in the effective evapotranspiration area of the land of Figueres. With the results of these balances, it is possible to calculate what the humidity levels are in the different layers of the land, what part of the potential evapotranspiration, lost or how much water is leached, among others. Based on these results, the CAFEC coefficients and the monthly humidity anomaly index (of the Palmer method) are calculated. Once these results are obtained, a historical study of this index is carried out, between 1950 and 2021, and its relationship with monthly parameters of the land obtained in the previous sections. The question that has been asked is: what is the trend of this index for the future? To answer this question, two simulations are created with 30 possible combinations of precipitation and temperature, in order to analyze the trend of this state of the land. Numerical methods and probability are used, in order to be able to predict the accumulation of the index by 2050. It is also of interest to find out a direct relationship between the level of the Boadella reservoir and the humidity anomaly index of the land to foresee a direct impact on the inhabitants of Figueres in the use of water.

The 3D concrete printing is an alternative that has great potential, due to the numerous constructive advantages it provides. This construction method allows complex geometries of great difficulty to be made, by dispensing with the use of formwork. It also reduces overall cost and time on a jobsite by automating the construction process. On one hand, the optimization of natural resources reduces the consumption of raw materials and significantly minimizes greenhouse gas emissions. On the other hand, it is expected that the use of this technique will generate more qualified employment. From the point of view of sustainability, additive manufacturing of concrete could offer very interesting contributions to improve current construction with conventional concrete. Even though in conventional concrete the study of the sustainability of the mixes is very extensive, in 3D concrete printing the knowledge about the sustainability of the mixes is still limited. This thesis evaluates the sustainability of five different mixtures of 3D concrete printing intended to be used in facades, through a method based on the Integrated Value Model for the evaluation of Sustainability (MIVES). In order to determine which of them is more appropriate from the point of view of sustainability.

Este proyecto pretende mejorar la movilidad del transporte público, diseñando nuevas paradas de autobuses o modificando las paradas actuales, teniendo en cuenta la normativa vigente y la necesidad de la población de la comarca del Maresme. Así mismo, se diseñan apartaderos y se modifica la señalización vertical y horizontal para adaptarla a las nuevas condiciones de las vías con las nuevas dotaciones.

En el present projecte s'ha dissenyat un vial de nova formació, s'ha consolidat el vial del camí existent i s'han reurbanitzat els vials existents de l'àmbit. S'ha millorat el disseny establint un model de prioritat invertida generalment a un únic nivell als vials residencials, mantenint el disseny de l'accés a la urbanització. Amb aquest sistema s'ha ordenat el trànsit i millorat la mobilitat a la urbanització. S'han dissenyat noves xarxes que resolen les problemàtiques principals que hi havia amb el clavegueram, el drenatge de l'aigua de pluja i les múltiples línies aèries que hi transcorrien. El disseny del projecte de re-urbanització compleix la normativa vigent, mantenint la utilitat per als veïns. El producte resultant és una xarxa viària útil, visualment més agradable i accessible per a tothom.
